It is currently 5:23 PM on a Friday in late November right after Thanksgiving, and I am bored and half-stoned; the idea crossed by my mind that I should get on Tumblr for shits and giggles and write a post. So I’ve been off at Frostburg doing Frostburg things (same things I do in Waldorf except with a lot more work), and that has been working out so far for me this year (although I have a newly uninstalled window and door combo in my house now). I have decided to make a list of things that I love and hate about being in College/Frostburg.
I’ll start with the hate so I can feel good when I am finished writing this post.
- Stabbings of people that happen at the end of my street
- My household running out of coffee
- My household running out of beer money
- Having to walk to class
- Having to walk to class in the rain
- Having to walk to class in the rain and wind in below freezing conditions
- Having to clean every morning because my house is apparently the only house in the world where people drink
- Excessive amounts of homework all due on the same day, and my complete lack of ability to want to do them on time
- People assuming that I know what everyone is doing every night, and then texting me at ~6 PM everyday (Seriously I get like 8 texts between 5:30 and 6:30 PM everyday asking what’s going on)
- Shitty group project members
- Garbage day is one a week, and a limit of only like 7 bags of trash (what the fuck kind of bullshit is that? It sucks extra hard because my trash only consists of pizza boxes and beer cans/cases, and that isn’t exactly trash that is space friendly)
- Lack of quality sleeping time
- My house falling apart
- Only getting like 40 channels on TV
- People only wanting to listen to garbage at parties
- Fuck chapter
I feel like I need to stop at this point so I can create a list of good things without having a wall of text for the list of bad things.
- Having a king size bed
- People always coming to my house with booze because its apparently the only house that people can drink at
- Parties that have good music playing (Mainly when I work the music)
- Watching Jeopardy every night with friends
- Partying every night after Jeopardy
- Squeezing 18 people into my living room with only like 8 seats every Wednesday night to watch American Horror Story
- Drunk movie screenings and creating lists of movies to be added to the drunk movie screenings
- Having rockstar themed socials (specially when I emulate Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
- Having a house
- Having brothers (Alpha Delta Chi til I die)
- Drinking 40’s on my deck and jammin to some classic rock
- Piling snow against my roomates door so he can’t get out
- Always doing something
- Listening to everyones story from the night before
- Watching people do the walk of shame the morning after
- Being an asshole on saferide
- Getting high and doing nothing the rest of the day
- So much more but im tired of making this list
In conclusion, Frostburg sucks, but at least its entertaining. Also it feels good to be home even if its just a few days.
